Welcome to slow creature! 🧵

I'm Adri, and I've been immersed in the sewing world for several years now. What started as a personal passion has burst into a heartfelt intention: to share the joy of creating while nurturing a more ethical approach to crafting.

As a lifelong learner, I've found that teaching is one of the most enriching paths. I believe in learning as I teach, fostering a collaborative environment where creativity thrives. My love for creative play fuels every class and workshop I lead, inspiring young minds to explore, experiment, and express themselves through sewing.

At the heart of my practice lies a deep commitment to sustainability and ethical crafting. I strive to tread lightly on the planet by sourcing materials responsibly, prioritizing secondhand and remnant fabrics, and upcycling clothing whenever possible. As I journey towards mastery, I'm excited to soon embark on my own learning adventure at a fashion design school in Portland, eager to refine my skills and deepen my understanding of this craft.

In addition to sewing camps for kids, I also offer hand-crafted clothing and accessories, each piece a testament to my values of slow fashion and sustainability. If you have an idea or project you need sewist for, I am also available for commissions or freelance projects. My intention is to challenge the status quo of fast fashion by championing a more mindful approach to dressing—one that celebrates individuality, craftsmanship, and conscious consumption.

Join me in expanding the realm of slow fashion, one stitch at a time. Together, let's embrace the beauty of creating our own garments and supporting local designers. Welcome to a world where style meets sustainability, and where every stitch tells a story of mindful making.
